Operational Delivery Systems
Absenteeism
• It is company policy to carry a 10% spare level contracted manpower for each key account or area. Therefore, spares will be available on each shift to cover for any unforeseen absenteeism such as AWOL or sick. These spares are site specialist trained and are used on these sites only.
• A list of volunteers is obtained which is contactable on very short notice to come in on a voluntary overtime basis, to cover for extra people needed, or unforeseen absenteeism.
Transportation / Site postings
• Company transport is not provided to guards under normal circumstances.
• There are however exceptions to the rule where individual clients require guards to be posted. Guards will be transported according to our safety standards stipulated on our SHE policy and road safety regulations.
• Guards will not be transported in LDV vehicles or bakkies. LL SECURITY makes use of our Quantum passenger vehicles where all passengers must buckle-up.
•A total of 5 passenger vehicles and 16 patrol vehicles are readily available for this purpose. Otherwise, guards are required to post themselves to their posts, and there is a shift change procedure for each site. This procedure is controlled from our central control room.
• Should a reliever, and or, spare be required to be posted to a site, the security officer will be transported to the site with a company vehicle.
